A day of rest...
Back in October, John came up with the idea of leaving early, making up a couple stops and one day of relaxing before we went into Fort Wilderness. Now he's chomping at the bit to go. :)
But it is nice to take a break. We're staying at Country Oaks Campground, home of Trigger the dog who has made sure that young upstart Daytona knows who lives here!
Marty Jr. has been running almost non-stop around the porch and campground. It means he sleeps at night. :)
We had gotten complaints from someone next door at Fort Wilderness that our dogs bark (wow, dogs bark?! who knew?) so John had planned to kennel them. I didn't like that at all so we got Citronella collars to teach the dogs to not bark as much. Day has his on as he needs to learn the lesson more, and Cathi said we were like Ursula stealing his voice. LOL! So we now call them Ursula collars and a couple of times, when the baby gets cranky, she's said she wishes you could put one on a kid. ;)
She calls Daytona, not Day for short, but Tona. She says he doesn't look like a Day; she's always had her own nicknames for the pups, so he's her Tona now. :)
Marty Jr. surprised me by how thrilled he was with the "My first trip to WDW" pin, that I got out Mickey pins for him and put together a "temporary" lanyard. He needs one his size that's more colorful, but he loves looking at the pins, alternately carrying the lanyard or wearing it. A new pin collector is born!
Elphie is now pushing her bowl around the camper, rattling it against the floor or furniture in an effort to make us stop starving them. The more we say No, the more bowl flipping noise. Guess who will break first? :)
