Disney World in 1971 podcast!

My sister Terry was a guest speaker on the Mouse on the Couch podcast, talking about going to Walt Disney World when it was first opened!  She took me and my then very young niece Jenna; we stayed at the Polynesian and had a blast.

Now she looks back to what it was like when Walt Disney World had one park (the Magic Kingdom), three resorts, and only a few places to eat.  It's a happy, nostalgic look back to the beginning.  Don't miss this!  Terry does a wonderful job on speaking about Disney World, and it's a lot of fun to listen to.

Casey

Casey died this morning.

She had been ill, but was doing much better and then suddenly started failing last night. We thought we would lose her when she suddenly rallied and was better.  But this morning...  We hoped she would go peacefully here, but she fought it.  At the end, she cried in pain... Or defiance... Or both.  She always  had more courage and strength than anyone else I know.

We wrapped her in her favorite blanket that she had since she was a puppy and took her to the vet.

My heart is broken.  My little dog... I will never hold her again.

I'm getting married in the morning!

Actually, I am performing my friends' wedding and it's ay 2 in the afternoon.  :)

This is the very nice room where I'm staying.  I really like it.  You can tell I am staying here because of my friends on the window sill.  ;)

I will be leaving soon for the rehearsal.  It' s going to be a great wedding!
