At last! We're here!

Busy day!

We got here and started setting up including decorating.  Still have some to do: the lights around the awning is really it.  The 12 foot Santa looks awesome!  We took the dogs to the park where they made friends (they also love Stella down the road from us: a big Mastiff or something.  Well, the boys love her; Elphie could care less.) and Rico hit on all the ladies in his best Antonia Banderas manner.  Little Marty came with us, laughing and chasing dogs.  He's also greeting everyone in every site, just as he charmed his way into Bingo last night. (They were sad to see him leave this morning.)  He also went to the playground and tried walking up the slide.  When he slid back down, he called out, "Oh sh*t."  I told Cathi she must be very proud.

A site down from us has a golf cart that looks like a Model T; it's gorgeous.  People keep coming from all around the resort to see it!  We have a couple really great decorated sites; I might add our loop to the tour.

We went to the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge.  Martin told me he's always loved this place since he came here as a kid in 1995.

Dinner was great; little Marty and I did the hobby horse parade, and he did his "Walmart greeter", as Cathi calls it, at the restaurant.  Meaning he comes up, waves, and says "Hello!" They thanked him and gave him Mickey stickers.  He got fussy a few times; he really needed a nap.  Still he settled down and we finished with desserts.  I got the make your own s'mores, but somehow, I was missing marshmallows.  Probably because of the little thief sitting in the high chair!

He got half his dad's milkshake too.  To be fair, we all said they were the best milkshakes we've ever had.

The boat ride over was his first boat ride ever. He's already just in awe with Mickey Mouse everywhere, dogs in the campground, golf carts that take you to the Meadows area for lunch & you dance with other kids, Christmas lights and trees 100 times taller than he is.  And we haven't even been to a park!

John was exhausted, so we called it an early night.  He was asleep the second he sat down on the couch.  Now the pups are all over the bed, also asleep, and we have Epcot tomorrow!
